In each edition of the Digital Space Newsletter we will be spotlighting new features which will be available to our customers. Today, we are highlighting the new Plesk 8.1 Control Panel and many of the new applications that are now available for use on your websites.

As a result of the introduction of the new Plesk 8.1 control panel system, Digital Space hosting customers have gained a tremendous amount of functionality through both the management capabilities and the website applications that Plesk offers. Get quick access to your most-used functions in the Control Panel

The new DigitalSpace Control Panel, powered by Plesk, gives you more control than ever over your account. The control panel is broken down into two separate parts; the “Desktop” screen, which gives a quick overview of your account’s resource usage as well as quick access to your most-used features, and the “Home” screen that lists every available management area. You can customize the “Desktop” screen to remove items that you infrequently use, or to add shortcuts to commonly used features of the control panel. Just log in to your control panel, then click Customize Desktop in the top left. You will see a list of actively displayed tool icons on the right, and available tool icons on the left. Use the “Add” and “Remove” buttons to update the list of displayed icons to fit your needs. For example, you can add the “Open WebAdmin for a Database” tool if you frequently need to log in to phpMyAdmin, or remove “Create an Autoresponder” if you rarely use email autoresponders.
